This scene uses both MoGraph and Thinking Particles. It demonstrates the Constrain parameter on the Matrix object. By animating this value you can control the clones either by MoGraph or by TP Xpresso and blend between.
Click the image to see the movie. Note in this movie I have also added an instance object to create trails from the clones. The download scene doesn't have this, but I'm sure you can add it yourselves.
This scene will also allow you to bake your TP. Simply click on the bake tag, and then click bake in the AM. If you still want it to generate particles, goto frame 0 and then clear the baking on that frame only. Once baked you can disable the effectors and the Xpresso tag, the TP is baked.

This is a simple scene that demonstrates how to use the Random Effector to not only affect the position, scale, rotation, but also the colour. Requires Cinema4D 9.6 plus the MoGraph module.
